Bangkok's Massage Streets (2026): On Nut, Pratunam's Foot Massage Alley and More

Updated

Bangkok has massage shops on almost every street, but in a few places they line up one after another. These "massage streets" are great for a cheap walk-in massage: you can compare price boards, pick the shop that looks cleanest and be on the mattress five minutes later. Here are the ones worth the trip, with 2025–2026 prices, and a warning about streets that are best avoided.

On Nut: Sukhumvit Soi 77/1

This is the street Chinese travel guides call "Bangkok's massage street" (曼谷按摩一条街), and it lives up to the name. Around twenty small shops line Sukhumvit Soi 77/1, a short walk from BTS On Nut, in a residential neighbourhood with a Lotus's supermarket and local food courts nearby.

On Nut is five BTS stops (10 to 15 minutes) from Asok, so it suits people staying on the eastern side of Sukhumvit, or anyone who wants local prices and does not mind the ride.

Phetchaburi Soi 15: the foot massage alley near Pratunam

Just off Phetchaburi Road, behind the Pratunam shopping area, a short lane holds a cluster of indoor foot and Thai massage shops. It is a handy break between Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market.

Fortune Town (MRT Phra Ram 9)

Not a street but a mall: the ground floor of Fortune Town, an IT mall at MRT Phra Ram 9 (Exit 1), has massage shops charging about ฿180–200 an hour, open roughly 10:00 to 21:00. Indoors, air-conditioned and easy with kids, it is one of the cheapest reliable options in central Bangkok.

Rambuttri Road (Khao San area)

One street over from Khao San Road, Rambuttri has reclining foot massage chairs under the trees near Wat Chana Songkhram, plus indoor shops for full-body massage. A 30-minute foot massage is about ฿150–200 and a one-hour Thai massage about ฿300–450. It is much calmer than Khao San Road itself, which turns into a loud bar street at night. There is no metro: walk 15 to 20 minutes from MRT Sam Yot, or take the river boat to Phra Arthit pier.

Siam Square

Siam Square Soi 5 and 6 have a row of well-known chain shops such as ThaiThai, Nature Thai and Lek, with spas on the upper floors of Siam Square One. This is a tourist price tier, roughly ฿450–1,000 an hour, but it is central, clean and family-friendly, and perfect between shopping malls.

Streets that are not what they seem

Some Sukhumvit sois near Asok and Nana have plenty of massage signs, but they sit in nightlife areas and mix regular shops with places offering other services. They are not good "massage streets" for families or first-timers:

Near Asok, the easy choice is a chain: Health Land Asok or Let's Relax in Terminal 21. Elsewhere, a simple test works: skip shops where staff call out to passers-by from the doorway, and leave any place that hints at "special" services.
