Massage at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK): Where to Go, Prices & Tips
Updated
Suvarnabhumi Airport has Thai massage counters both before and after security, so you can fit in a foot or back massage during a layover. Expect airport prices — noticeably higher than in the city — but the convenience is hard to beat when you only have an hour or two.
Massage inside the airport
- Airside (after immigration): massage counters in the departure concourses offer foot, neck-and-shoulder and short Thai massages, typically 30–60 minutes.
- Landside: there are massage shops in the public areas of the terminal, including near the Airport Rail Link level, useful on arrival or for a long layover without a lounge.
- Lounges: some airline and pay-in lounges include a short complimentary massage — ask at the lounge reception for a queue number.
How much does it cost?
Airport massages are priced for convenience: roughly ฿700–1,000 for 30–60 minutes, two to three times what a local shop in the city charges for the same time.
Better value: ride into the city
If you have at least five or six hours, take the Airport Rail Link to Makkasan and change to the MRT at Phetchaburi, one stop from Sukhumvit/Asok. Around Asok and Sukhumvit you'll find dozens of massage shops and chains like Health Land and Let's Relax at normal city prices — see massage near Phetchaburi and Asok stations in our directory.
Tips
- Leave at least 45 minutes after your massage to get back through security and to your gate.
- Foot and neck-and-shoulder massages are ideal before a long flight; avoid a very strong Thai massage right before boarding if you're not used to it.
- Carry some cash for tips; ฿50–100 is appreciated.
