Spas in Sathorn, Bangkok (2026): Wellness Spas, Onsen & Massage
Updated
Also available in: ไทย
Sathorn is Bangkok's business district, and its spas reflect that: a reliable mid-range chain for after-work Thai massage, a Japanese onsen that stays open until midnight, and some of the city's best hotel wellness spas along South Sathorn Road. For a good-value two-hour Thai massage, go to Health Land Sathorn; for a bath-and-massage evening, Yunomori Onsen on Sathorn Soi 10; for a full wellness day with pool and steam, COMO Shambhala or Banyan Tree Spa. Details, prices and hours are below, as of October 2026. Always confirm before you go.
Sathorn spas at a glance
- Health Land Sathorn: big, calm mid-range spa at 120 North Sathorn Road. Two-hour traditional Thai massage ฿700, one-hour foot massage ฿400 (official menu). Open daily 09:00–23:00.
- Yunomori Onsen & Spa Sathorn: 54 Soi Suksawittaya (Sathorn Soi 10), off North Sathorn Road. Japanese hot baths, sauna and steam plus Thai massage. Open 10:00–24:00.
- COMO Shambhala at COMO Metropolitan: 27 South Sathorn Road. Ten treatment rooms including four Thai massage alcoves, a 25-metre outdoor lap pool, steam rooms and a hydropool. Open 09:00–21:00.
- Banyan Tree Spa Bangkok: high up in the Banyan Tree tower on South Sathorn Road, with city views and the brand's Rainforest hydrotherapy experience. Luxury pricing, typically ฿3,500–8,000 for 90 minutes at this tier.
- Smaller shops: the side streets around BTS Chong Nonsi and Surasak have neighbourhood massage shops at about ฿400–700 an hour.
Best for value: Health Land Sathorn
Health Land is the chain many Bangkok expats return to, and the Sathorn branch is a popular after-work stop for office workers. The building is spa-like, the rooms are private, and the two-hour Thai massage is the best-value option on the menu. Aromatherapy (about ฿1,200 for 90 minutes) and Thai massage with herbal compress (about ฿1,050 for two hours) are also available. Health Land recommends booking 24–48 hours ahead for weekends, and evenings fill up on weekdays too. It is a short walk from BTS Chong Nonsi or Saint Louis; the branch also has parking.
Best for an evening: Yunomori Onsen Sathorn
Yunomori brings Japanese onsen culture to Bangkok. The Sathorn branch has several hot baths, including mineral water from Kanchanaburi, plus a sauna, steam room and a Japanese restaurant. The usual plan is an hour in the baths followed by a Thai or oil massage. Because it stays open until midnight and has proper showers, it also works well on the last day of a trip before a late flight. Day-pass and massage prices change regularly, so check the current menu on Yunomori's website.
Best for a wellness day: COMO Shambhala and Banyan Tree
If 'wellness spa Sathorn' means a whole afternoon rather than an hour, the hotel spas on South Sathorn Road are the place. COMO Shambhala at COMO Metropolitan is calm and minimal, with personalised deep-tissue and stress-relief treatments, a lap pool, steam and daily yoga at 08:00. Banyan Tree Spa is bigger and more indulgent, with Asian-inspired massages and a hydrotherapy circuit. Expect luxury prices and a '++' on the menu, meaning a 10% service charge and 7% VAT are added. Book ahead, arrive 30 minutes early to use the facilities, and ask what is included.
Getting there
- BTS Chong Nonsi: the centre of Sathorn, close to North Sathorn Road and the Mahanakhon tower.
- BTS Saint Louis and Surasak: for the western end of Sathorn and South Sathorn Road.
- MRT Lumphini: for the eastern end of Sathorn near Lumphini Park.
- Sathorn Road is heavy traffic at rush hour (roughly 16:30–19:30), so take the BTS rather than a taxi.
Tips for booking a spa in Sathorn
- Book evenings and weekends: office workers fill mid-range spas from 18:00.
- Lunchtime is quieter, and many hotel spas run weekday offers. Ask when you book.
- Tip in cash: about ฿100–200 after a two-hour massage at a mid-range spa. At hotel spas with a service charge, a tip is optional.
- Avoid the Patpong and Thaniya area just north in Silom if you are looking for a regular massage. Stick to known spas and shops with clear menus.
