Massage With Kids in Bangkok: Which Spas Accept Children (2026)
Updated
Travelling with children and want everyone to get a massage? Many Bangkok spas welcome kids, but each has its own minimum age and rules, and very few publish them clearly. Here is what the main spas say, checked in October 2026, plus what tends to work for children. Policies change, so confirm with the branch when you book.
Spa policies on children
- Let's Relax: treatments from age 7, according to its FAQ. Children aged 7 to 12 can have most treatments except hot stone, scrubs and wraps, and facials. Younger children may stay in the room with a parent if they do not disturb other guests.
- Asia Herb Association: massage for children over 6. Children under 6 cannot be treated.
- Oasis Spa: a Kid's Spa menu for ages 5 to 12, such as a 40-minute coconut oil massage for about ฿900 plus tax and service. Children must be with an adult at all times, and under-5s should not come along because there is no childcare.
- Divana: guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who stays during the treatment and gives consent. Some treatments are only for ages 8 and up.
- The Oriental Spa at the Mandarin Oriental: parent-and-child spa journeys for ages 6 to 15, with the parent in the same room and treatments adapted for children. A one-hour journey is about ฿4,200 per person.
- Health Land and the Wat Pho pavilions: no published age policy. Families report children getting gentle foot massages, but ask at the counter first.
What works for children
- Keep it short. 15 to 30 minutes suits younger children; teenagers can do an hour.
- Ask for much lighter pressure than for adults, and let the child say when it is too much.
- Stay in the same room. Most spas require it, and it helps children relax.
- Foot massage or a gentle oil massage is an easier start than a full Thai massage with strong stretches.
- Ask for a room where you can be treated together. Many spas have couple rooms, and some can fit a parent and child.
Pregnant travellers
Almost no Bangkok spa offers massage in the first trimester, and many stop after about 24 weeks. Tell the spa you are pregnant when you book, and check with your doctor first.
- Oasis Spa: Mothers-To-Be treatments between weeks 16 and 24, by therapists trained for pregnancy massage.
- Divana: a two-hour Pregnancy Panacea treatment, suitable from the fourth to the sixth month, at branches including Divana Virtue (Silom).
- Asia Herb Association: only foot massage or head and shoulder massage, during a stable stage of pregnancy and with your doctor's permission.
- Let's Relax: its FAQ says it cannot treat pregnant guests.
- Health Land: no pregnancy menu; tell the branch when you book and ask what they can offer.
Good to know
Kid-friendly spas tend to be the chains and day spas, which have private rooms and clear prices. Avoid street-side shops in nightlife areas with children.
